Light to moderate snow and some light icing will be possible on Saturday for portions of Northern Maine. Thunderstorms are also likely from the Southern Plains into the Southeast.
The system responsible for the active weather this week will lift into Canada on Saturday. Light snow and icing will be possible for portions of Maine; snow accumulations will be less than 6 inches. As the frontal boundary lifts into Canada, the southernmost part will stall along the Northern Gulf Coast. Thunderstorms with the potential for hail and heavy rain is possible, but no severe weather is anticipated.
